Ich werde nicht vergessen, dass du hier gewesen bist.
I won't forget that you were here.
Photographing water, which is constantly changing its form and appearance, is extraordinarily fascinating.
The patterns formed by ripples on the water or raindrops on windowpanes are no longer the same just a few seconds later.
Ice and snow, too, disappear as soon as they melt.
Capturing such states through photography gives me the feeling of experiencing the essence of photography in all its depth.
At the same time, however, when faced with these fleeting or gradually vanishing landscapes,
I sense a quiet transience and melancholy.
It is as if I want to say to the water:
“I won’t forget that you were here.”
and through the camera, something like a dialogue with the water almost comes into being.
